Recent Photographs 06282024
The lack of distractions when framing and operating the camera bring out the best in me, allowing me to be in the moment when documenting the city.
This set of recent photographs is the result of a new workflow for me. I purchased a 35mm film scanner a few months back to digitize my archive of negatives and to scan new film work that I have been creating. The images here are the result, shot on Kodak Gold 200 with my Olympus 35RC. Due to the lack of a functioning meter (it was broken when I got the camera), I used the Sunny 16 rule as a starting point for my exposures and adjusted accordingly based on the conditions. This is one of my favorite ways to shoot as there is no need for a battery and the rangefinder is a great way to focus quickly. The lack of distractions when framing and operating the camera bring out the best in me, allowing me to be in the moment when documenting the city.
